    Dear Podiatry Student,
    Welcome to JHM Global Podiatry Rotation & Electives!
    The Podiatric clinical rotation and elective programs are available through our JHM Global Podiatric partner hospitals as well as through our partner Podiatric clinics and Faith based dispensaries in Kenya, Uganda & India. We are thrilled that you are considering experiencing your Podiatry clinical clerkship through us. You must the registered in an approved Podiatry school/college program and have the written permission of the Director of Clinical Internship of your College/University in order to participate in our program.

    AVAILABLE COMPULSORY PODIATRY ROTATION/ELECTIVES
    Podiatric Practice, Podiatric Surgery, Sports medicine, Biomechanics, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, or Primary care. etc.

    VOLUNTARY PODIATRY INTERNSHIPS/ELECTIVES AVAILABLE:
    Podiatric Practice, Podiatric Surgery, Sports medicine, Biomechanics, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, or Primary care,

    ROTATION/ELECTIVES DURATION
    Depending on the course curriculum you are following at your Podiatry school/College.
    Rotations are available for durations of 2,3,4,6,8 or 12 weeks Maximum per rotation/Elective.

    By attending a PODIATRY internship with us, you are able to:

    1] Gain valuable experience by shadowing several Podiatric & Orthpaedic practioners daily.
    2] Experience real Podiatric/Orthpaedic clinical, surgical and hospital environment throughout your internship for 25-40hours Per Week.
    3] Have access to Podiatric patients, patients records and be part of the treatment team in a clinical environment.
    4] Attend daily rounds under the supervision of a qualified & well experienced Podiatric/Orthopaedic surgeon.
    5] Be in a clinical environment where daily patient count is anywhere from 50-150 patients per day.
    6] Attend, observe & practically assist in patient treatment plan at the hospital/clinic.
    7] Attend case evaluation sessions, X-ray Evaluation and treatment plan/management sessions.
    8] Attend Podiatric workshops that gives you deeper insight your speciality/sub-speciality.
    9] Have scheduled discussion sessions with Podiatric healthcare workers.
    10] Participate in Mobile Medical Outreach with Podiatry focus/Services to local villages & comunities.
    11] Get to experience your rotation/elective in a tropical medicine environment and gain more experience in dealing with tropical Podiatric cases of all kinds.
    12] When feasible, accompany a homecare Podiatry health care worker on home visits to treat patients in rural villages.
    14] Attend a final debriefing workshop before you depart the internship mission field & more.

    Hospitals/Clinics Locations:
    INTERNSHIP ASSESSMENT
    The supervisor evaluates your work at the end of the experience following the formats generally set by University; this allows you to receive adequate academic credit for the internship.

    CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
    At the end of your internship you will be awarded a certificate of completion and a written testimonial of your activities & services renedered whilst with us.

    Minimum Age & Other Requirement
    Must be over Age 21+
    Must be enrolled in a medical school/College or University.
    For Compulsory Rotation: You must be in year 3/4 of your medical Education.
    For Voluntary Rotation: You may be in any year of the medical school/University.
    Travel Vaccinations
    Check with your doctor and get all the vaccination you need to have.
    Student Malpractice Insurance
    You must arrange your own and send proof when requested.

    £1,250 / US Dollars - $2,025 [2 weeks - 12 Days]
    £1,550 / US Dollars - $2,40 [4 weeks - 28 Days]
    For Longer stay of 4-12 Months stay - Cost/prices are available on request

    Non-Refundable Deposit
    There is a Non-refundable deposit of £155/$250 US Dollars per person. Payable upon acceptance.

    Entry Visa, Flight & Travel Insurance Arrangements
    You must pay for your own flight, arrange your travel visa and & Travel Insurance, keeping to your travel dates. Assistance with flight booking can be provided if required.

    Things to bring with you:
    Stethoscopes, otoscopes, Sphygmomanometers & other medical apparatus consistent with your internship. Lab coat, Scrubs, Bible, a camera, a sun hat, sun glasses and mosquito repellent & personal hygiene needs.
