History/Background
The passion that permeates through all we do at JHM GLOBAL MEDICAL stems from the fact that our Founder, Pastor Jannet Hopewell went through extreme pain, shame, degradation and great personal and financial losses due to the affliction she suffered from the Spondylolisthesis disease of the spine which kept her wheelchair bound for15 years and the Stage 4 Endometriosis & adhesion pain and discomfort that ravaged her womb and pelvic region for many years.

On many occasions she did not have money to pay the specialized physicians/surgeons who refused to see her without payment in those painful years long ago. She also suffered from chronic asthma which kept her frightened and tormented. Her illnesses saw her travelling to so many nations and seeing so many types of medical practitioners as she looked for answers to her numerous problems. She saw so many specialists far aan near to no avail. After her last major surgery in 2001 which lasted for close to 18 hours, she was told to go home and just accept that her life will never be good again. Jannet refused to accept or believe her doctors and surgeons. She held on to her faith in God.

Today she is free from Asthma, Endometriosis and complications of spondylolistheseis. She is no longer in a wheelchair nor does she require crutches or support to get around. She does not use or depend any form of drugs or medications unlike the years gone by when she required a cocktail of medications to keep her afloat. The same condemned legs that was thought unfit to ever walk again, now carries her to the nations with the Precious message of hope to the broken and forgotten today. Praise be to God Almighty!

So our passion at JHM GLOBAL is to keep on bringing hope, restoration, quality medical care and wellness to God's children in all the nations. Many poor people are unable to afford healthcare today in the developing world. Many have no food for themselves and their children, let alone have anything left to pay a doctor. Pastor Jannet Hopewell, her staff and volunteers are very committed to getting help to such people in need in the developing nations. This is a personal commitment!

Our Christian Faith
At JHM GLOBAL, confirm that we are Christians who actively seek God's leading as we serve others following the example and teachings of Jesus. We are called to promote Total Health and wellness as we respond to needs of the poor, building partnerships, seeking justice for the oppressed and ushering hope to those living in poverty and darkness.

Promoting Total Wellness
We are called to a total health and wellness ministry, drawing not just on spiritual prayer help but partnering with practitioners of conventional medicine as well as those using alternative medical skills to treat illnesses and diseases. We view wellness and wholeness as the capacity of individuals, families and communities to live a disease free life in the daily pursuit of godly living and happiness through Christ Jesus.

Accountability
In all at JHM GLOBAL MISSIONS and at JHM GLOBAL MEDICAL MISSIONS, we seek to act with open honesty, integrity, accountability and openness that will inspire our partners to keep on helping us build God's kingdom and lift up Christ. We fully appreciate, accept and unreservedly recognize that the financial and material resources with which we work are not our own, but are entrusted upon us to use in curtailing, removing and where possible eradicate suffering and poverty of others in need. We pledge to honour that commitment and strive for integrity and accountability in our relationships with our valued partners, donors, staff and volunteers both in and outside of the Kingdom. We promise to manage our given resources with integrity and honesty at all times making sure that the fear of God and reverence for Biblical principles overrides our own desires and that of those called by God to serve alongside us.

Pursuit of Excellence
Because we love the Lord and love people and aim to see their stress reduced and life made whole, we will work with all manners of churches, businesses, professionals including Chiropodists/Podiatrists, Chinese medicine practitioners, Osteopaths, Acupuncturists, Nurses, Midwives, Chiropractors, Homeopaths, Herbal medical practitioners and all others so that by using all our combined God given talents and resources we can help the sick and also bring them the message of hope through Christ Jesus. Our goal is to do our best to attract the best professionals with the best talents and skills to help us share in the calling, burden and vision of bringing healing and wellness to the needy in the poorer nations. We promise to always set sensible targets, measurable goals and achievable objectives at all times.
