    Welcome to JHM Global Complementary Medicine Rotation & Electives!
    Clinical rotation and elective programs in Complementary Therapies are available through our JHM Global partner hospitals as well as through our partner clinics and Faith based dispensaries in Kenya, Uganda & India. We are thrilled that you are considering experiencing your CAM clinical clerkship through us. You must the registered in an approved course/ program and have the written permission of the Director of Clinical Internship of your course/College in order to participate in our program.

    Acupuncture Medicine, Accupresure Medicine, Chiropody/Podiatric Medicine, Chinese medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Chiropractic Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Herbal medicine, Naturopathy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, etc.

    VOLUNTARY PODIATRY INTERNSHIPS/ELECTIVES AVAILABLE:

    ROTATION/ELECTIVES DURATION
    Depending on the course curriculum you are following at school/College,
    Rotations are available for durations of 2,3,4,6,8 or 12 weeks Maximum per rotation/Elective.

    By attending internship with us, you are able to:

    1] Gain valuable experience by shadowing several CAM practitioners daily.
    2] Experience your rotations in a REAL clinical environment for up to 40-60hours Per Week.
    3] Have access to patients, patients records and be part of the CAM treatment team.
    4] Attend daily rounds under the supervision of a qualified & well experienced professionals.
    5] Be in a clinical environment where daily patient count is high and experience opportunity is vast.
    6] Attend, observe & practically assist with patient treatment plans at the clinic.
    7] Attend case evaluation sessions and treatment plan/management sessions.
    8] Attend workshops that gives you deeper insight your speciality/sub-speciality therapies.
    9] Have scheduled discussion sessions with professional CAM healthcare workers.
    10] Participate in Mobile Medical Outreach providing Services to local villages & communities.
    11] Get to experience your rotation/elective in a tropical medicine environment and gain more experience in dealing with tropical cases of all kinds.
    12] Accompany CAM homecare teams on home visits to treat patients in rural villages/communities.
    14] Attend a final debriefing workshop before you depart the internship mission field & more.

    Private Clinics/hospitals
    Local General Hospitals
    Faith based Community Health Centers
    And others.
    Hospitals/Clinics Locations:
    In and around Kitale Town of Kenya and at facilities in the Mount Elgon communities of Kenya.
    INTERNSHIP ASSESSMENT
    The supervisor evaluates your work at the end of the experience following the formats generally set by University; this allows you to receive adequate academic credit for the internship.

    CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
    At the end of your internship you will be awarded a certificate of completion and a written testimonial of your activities & services renedered whilst with us.

    Minimum Age & Other Requirement
    Must be over Age 21+
    Must be enrolled in a Podiatry school/College or University.
    For Compulsory Rotation: You must be in year 3/4 of your dentistry Education.
    For Voluntary Rotation: You may be in any year of the dental school/University.

    Travel Vaccinations
    Check with your doctor and get all the vaccination you need to have.
    Student Malpractice Insurance
    You must arrange your own and send us proof when requested.

    £1,550 / US Dollars - $2,470 [4 weeks - 28 Days]
